How to Prepare for Workplace Collections

These guidelines help ensure a smooth collection:
Check What We Take
Check our list to confirm that we recycle your items.
We require a minimum of five items from our main list.
Ensure Level Access
We require lifts or level access to ensure our safety and yours.
For OHS requirements, we do not take electronics on stairs.
Provide Parking
We require a loading dock or on-site parking with +2m height..
If one is not available, items will need to be brought to the van.
Clean and Box
All items must be cleaned, in a box or clean pile on a table.
We will not empty bins or pull from piles of general waste.
Unlock Your Devices
If you remove bios locks or cloud accounts, devices can be reused.
All data is fully and irretrievably destroyed.
Remove Soft Plastics
We do not recycle plastic bags, styrofoam or random plastics.
Please remove these from the electronics before our arrival.
Requirements for Certificates of Data Destruction
Should your company require a certificate of data destruction, simply check the box on the booking form to start the process. Then email all serial numbers of any devices containing data to support@whirlrecycling.com.
Print a copy of the list to give to our driver on arrival. They'll confirm receipt of the correct devices to start the audit trail.
We require the list of serial numbers to be sent prior to collection. We do not record any serial numbers on site due to the risk of human error.
Upon confirmation that all data has been destroyed, we'll issue a certificate. There is no fee for this service.
Does your company require a higher level of verification or on-site shredding of devices? Email us at support@whirlrecycling.com to discuss the process.
