Don't fall for green washing hype.
Degradable means it will break down to into smaller particles or microplastics.
But, it's made of LDPE plastic which comes from compressing monomer ethylene gas. So, when it breaks down it releases methane, one of the most potent atmospheric greenhouse gases, and ethylene, which reacts with hydroxide in the atmosphere and increases carbon monoxide concentrations.
While it may be theoretically recyclable, any system processing it must be closed loop to avoid the release of those gases.
Where you have a choice, use bio-plastics made solely from plants and are at least home-compostable. Or even better, use natural materials.
