Clean your recycling
So many recycling facilities are run with human hands touching these items. Imagine what they go through every day.
As well, human and food waste in recycling contaminates the entire batch which often then has to be thrown out.
So, please clean the food from your recycling, keep soft plastics out of the hard plastics bin.
Think of peanut butter in a jar and what it takes to get it out. That has a massive impact on costs and energy in the recycling process. It's a small thing to do that has a massive impact.
